Anatomy of Gray 7 p.m. on Thurs. & Fri. October 5 & 6 at CHHS
By Jim Leonard, Jr. 8:00 a.m. on October 27 at Infinite Energy Center When June's father dies, she prays for a healer to come to the small town of Gray, so that no one will ever suffer again; the next thing she knows, there's a tornado, and a man in a balloon blows into town claiming to be a doctor. At first, the new doctor cures anything and everything, but soon the town's preacher takes ill with a mysterious plague. And then the plague begins to spread. Set in Indiana during the late 1800s, Anatomy of Gray deals with death, loss, love, and healing in a unique coming-of-age story. View the cast list and show photos. |
Musical Theatre Showcase 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 9 at CHHS
Musical Theatre students are a triple-threat - they sing, they dance, they act. And at Collins Hill High School, our advanced Musical Theatre students are being trained to do just that. See this class perform several possibly unknown songs from very very known musicals. Admission is free. |
Collins Hill's Got Talent 7 p.m. on Friday, January12 at CHHS
All-school Talent Show Collins Hill’s Got Talent is a fun-filled and entertaining event which also supports the Collins Hill Theatre program. Singers, dancers, actors and other performers from all over our school participate and are judged for prizes. Attend the show and see the great talent Collins Hill has to offer. Tickets are $5 and sold at the door. You may also vote for the Audience Favorite performer through donations, so bring your pocket change. Check back later to see the performers. |
Much Ado About Nothing 7 p.m. on Fri. & Sat. March 16 & 17 at CHHS
By William Shakespeare Much Ado About Nothing is a comedic play by William Shakespeare about misunderstandings, love and deception. Hero and her groom-to-be, Claudio team up with Claudio's commanding officer, Don Pedro the week before their wedding to hatch a matchmaking scheme. Their targets are sharp-witted duo Benedick and Beatrice -- a tough task indeed, considering their corresponding distaste for love and each other. Hairspray 7 p.m. on Fri. & Sat. April 20 & 21 at CHHS
By T. Meehan and M. O'Donnell ? p.m. on Sunday April 22 at CHHS In 1960s Baltimore, dance-loving teen Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) auditions for a spot on "The Corny Collins Show" and wins. She becomes an overnight celebrity, a trendsetter in dance, fun and fashion. Student-Directed Performances 6 p.m. on Fri. & Sat. May 10 & 11 at CHHS
Each year, CHHS Theatre has hosted a series of student-directed plays and musical revues to showcase, not only the performing, but also the creativity, leadership and directing talent in our program. This year, these performances will be directed and performed by our Advanced Drama class. In this class, advanced theatre students cast and direct new theatre students in shows.
